Engine and Rescue on MVA with Fire (7/29/07)

At 1003 hrs. Rescue 7 and Engine 7 were due to assist CO36 (Kulptown) and CO24 (Geigertown) on a vehicle accident with fire on Rt 345 at Shed Rd. Geigertown Chief 24-10 on location with one vehicle on its side, fully involved. Engine 7 crew supplied tank water to Brush 24, and assisted with suppression of the vehicle fire. Both units cleared the call within 30 minutes.
Rescue 7 Takes 2nd Place at Shartlesville (7/28/07)
The Rescue crew headed to Shartlesville to attend the annual Lights and Siren Parade, along with a block party. The crew was presented a 2nd place trophy in the Rescue category, first place was given to a nice unit from the Pine Grove Fire Company. In the last 5 years the BFC received 2 First Place Trophies, ENGINE 7 and TOWER 7, and now RESCUE 7 with a 2nd Place Trophy. Good job by the Rescue crew in showing pride for our apparatus.
BFC Holds Kauffman's Chicken BBQ (7/24/07)

The members held a Kauffman's Chicken BBQ to help raise money for increasing operating cost. Over 300 chicken BBQs were sold, which made this fundraising a success. Thank you to all who supported BFC by purchasing a ticket.
Engine Crews to Amity and Union (7/14/07 & 7/15/07)
0003 - Union Twp. Daniel Boone High School Alarm System - Engine 7-1, Engine 7, Car 7 (S.Kulp) responded for the Alarm System. 7-11 (S.Kulp) arrived on scene with nothing evident. Engine 7-1 (first in unit) stage on side A, Engine 7 (second in unit) staged on side C. Crews investigated the building to find a dirty detector on the first floor. Company cleared at 00:25.
2112 - Amity Twp. units were on scene of a working bedroom fire at an apartment complex on Lake Dr. Amity Command (Neiswender) requested a first alarm assignment due to heavy smoke throughout several buildings. Engine 7 and Car 7 (S.Kulp) responded, with 7-11 (S.Kulp) taking staging officer duties once on scene. Engine 7 crew asisted the Amity units with overhaul, ventilation, and removing several residents from adjoining units. Engine 7 FF Dragon and an Amity FF safely removed one subject from the building that was wheel chair bound. Company cleared the incident at 23:16.
Members Attend Block Party (7-7-07)

Several Members attended the Annual Block Party sponsored by the Love Christian Fellowship. This event was held in the Mainbird Park on N. Water St. Fire prevention material, as well as other helpful information was distributed to the Residents. The kids also enjoyed the apparatus display. Tickets for the upcoming chicken BBQ sale were sold with success.
